The group of ten talented women destroys all stereotypes about the "masculine" nature of brass instruments and plays music from baroque masterpieces to jazz standards and contemporary compositions.Ensemble tenThing in 2007. founded by Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth. It is a wind ensemble of ten members, all women, which is famous for its craftsmanship, the democracy and diversity of its programs. The collective's repertoire includes music from Mozart to Weill, from Grieg to Bernstein, from Lully to Bartók. He performed at the Schleswig-Holstein, Bonn Beethoven, Gstaad, MDR Musiksommer, Mecklenburg-Pomerania, Thuringian Bachwochen and other festivals, toured the USA, Canada, etc. The ensemble plays its entire rich and genre-diverse repertoire without a conductor, thus emphasizing the special mutual listening, mastery of chamber music and breaking down gender stereotypes in the world of wind music. Tine Thing Helseth is one of the most prominent contemporary Norwegian trumpeters, playing with the world's most famous orchestras, such as the Vienna Symphony, the London Philharmonic and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, gaining recognition at prestigious festivals including the BBC Proms. in 2006 she won second place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007. she was awarded the prestigious title of "Musician of the Year" (Årets musiker) in Norway, and in 2013 it was awarded the prestigious "Echo Klassik" award of the year.
