Pianist Indrė Baikštytė, violinist Ingrida Rupaitė and cellist Povilas Jacunskas have been forming one of the most professional and prominent chamber music ensembles in Lithuania for two decades, nurturing the highest standards of artistic quality and actively participating in international musical life.The collective gathered in 2006, and its path was quickly marked by important wins in international competitions, debuts at prestigious Lithuanian and European festivals and in 2009. earned the "Golden Disc" award. in 2012 "FortVio" became members of the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) - only two Lithuanian ensembles have achieved this prestigious status so far. in 2013 the team won the Grand Prix at the Warsaw competition, and in 2015 was awarded the Culture and Art Prize of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. In recent years, the trio has been preparing programs with well-known chamber and symphony orchestras, and one of their most memorable projects was a special program filmed by LRT for the 700th anniversary of Vilnius.The program dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ensemble subtly reflects FortVio's artistic maturity and repertoire trends. Trio for violin, cello and piano (1921) by the British composer Rebecca Clarke was chosen as the centerpiece of the evening - a technically complex and emotionally intense work that is experiencing a renaissance in the world, but is still little known in Lithuania.
