The performance "Harmonia" is a joint project "Unusual Symptoms" and choreographer Adrienn Hód (Hodworks), inviting to explore the human body and its significance in dance and society. In the abstract structure, the hierarchy of the classical dance is questioned and played in forms and narratives of contemporary dance, which is commonly considered as "progressive".
This show requires careful audience attention - the troupe of disabilities and its unable dancers. The research of the diversity of the human body and self -ironant reflections on normal forms of dance is to adjust our gaze. It was founded by Samir Akika, choreographer of French and Algerian origin. He is led by Alexandra Morales and Gregor.
Adrienn Hód is an international Hungarian choreographer who specializes in contemporary dance and high quality experimental motion. Her work is often based on research and focuses on the movement of the human body, giving up taboo and prejudices.
While working in the studio, she creates exciting and liberating situations that give the performers space, trust and freedom to reveal - through the body, senses, emotions and identity. The HóD method is based on led by improvisation during rehearsals, which takes a structured shape on stage. The final works often find themselves at the intersection of contemporary dance, theater and performance.
The first dance troupe "Unsual Sympt" and Adrienn Hód CoEXist (2019), the first Bremen theater, ensured an invitation to Tanzplattformchland. Harmonia is their second shared piece.
