Choreographer and dancer Giedrė Kirkilė raises questions of human identity and recovery in the mono -performance "Kraitis". Today we no longer save material dowry - we are not embroidering lace nights for the first night, we do not put on tablecloths or bedspreads. However, we deliberately or unconsciously gather values, attitudes, imaginations and behaviors that make us into various roles and expectations. With them we come to the independent life of an adult and this "invisible dowry" becomes our part. Some of its aspects help us to be the best version of our version and to build a sustainable relationship, others interfere with.

How much our identity is formed by itself, and how much we create it and we can recreate ourselves? Heavy, thick thread knitwear that covers the artist's face and body, becomes a symbol of our beliefs and values ​​- "armor" that protects us but at the same time limits us.

Giedrė Kirkilė - dance performer, creator and teacher. For more than twenty years, he danced at Vytis Jankauskas Dance Theater and was twice nominated for the Golden Stage Cross award for the roles created in this theater. In 2022, the Contemporary Dance Association awarded the Giedre Association award for the most memorable roles of 2021 dance.

Since 2014, Giedrė has been teaching improvisation and contemporary dance techniques for dancers and actors at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater and actively participating in a dance study program. For the contribution to the promotion of the Lithuanian contemporary dance field in 2023.
