This film takes us to the summer of the 1990s in Halberstadt, where East German citizens were given just six days to exchange their old Ostmark currency for Deutsche Marks during German reunification. In the midst of this chaotic period, childhood friends Maren, Robert and Folker discover millions of Ostmarks hidden in an underground shaft tunnel. Realizing that the money will soon become worthless, they and their house community come up with an ingenious plan to use this money.
The film not only conveys absurd situations and a sense of humor, but also explores the period when socialist values clashed with the reality of capitalism.

The film stars the famous German actress Sandra Hüller, who swept us away last year with her powerful performances in The Anatomy of Death and Zone of Interest.
