Young biologist Jura works at the Natural History Museum. While searching for an endangered mountain whistler in the steppes of southern Ukraine, Yura witnesses an arson attack. After revealing the information to the local newspaper, he soon becomes disappointed - nobody cares about the truth. The region is ruled by chaos, fake information, corrupt elections, and a sense of impending attack among the population. R. Bondarchuk, one of the most prominent Ukrainian filmmakers, completed the film already during the war, "Editorial" became a kind of ode to his native Kherson.
