On a stormy mountain somewhere in Argentina, Simon, who appeared out of nowhere, joins a lost group of young people with mental characteristics. He naturally integrates into the community of new friends and feels that he has found his real home, but it doesn't take long before the boy's happiness is disturbed by his mother who appears and explains that Simon does not have a disability. Even though he was brought home, the boy is still looking for opportunities to return to where he feels like himself - together with his new friends, he does not need to wear any masks, be a cool son, worry about who and what will think of him, because there are only real emotions, unplayed feelings, real friendship and, most importantly, Simon feels absolutely safe in this world. Federico Luis' debut feature in 2024. awarded the main prize of the Cannes "Critics' Week". According to the creator himself, all the short films he has created so far were a collection of ideas and experiments that fell into "Simons from the Hill". This extremely sensitive study of a young man searching for answers as to why it is better for a boy to live with "different people" was created by the director after working for some time in a school for young people with various mental characteristics, so the non-professional actors in the film opened their pure souls without fear of being taken advantage of.
