Payne family, settled in the village, surrounded by forest, created a perfect life. Maria and Nick, by teaching their children farming skills at home without screens, cherish a deep relationship with nature. This chaotic but full of precious moments life suddenly changes after the tragedy, forcing the family to start again. Director Silje Evensmo Jacobsen, who has been filming this close family for several years, gently and intimately immortalized their struggle with grief and creating a new life.
"This film is for those who dream of changing the unfortunate pace of the city to a more harmonious life in nature. The Wild Hearts subtly explore how bereavement deepens the understanding of nature that can become both a refuge and a test.
