The film restores the 1944 historical event - the massacre of the Taroye Senegal, when the colonial French army killed soldiers returning from the front. During World War II, thousands of African men were robbed from their homes and mobilized into the French Army. After boldly fighting on European fronts, surviving in terrible conditions, they returned home were betrayed and forgotten. After the war, the troops moved to the Tiarojė camp awaited demobilization and promised benefits for military service, but they were greeted by difficult living conditions, lack of food and clothing, and the reward earned was significantly lower than promised. Disappointed and humiliated soldiers begin to rebel, demanding justice and honesty, but everything ends tragically. Not only does the director restore historical events in detail, it also presents a critical and provocative social and political reflection on colonial oppression. N-16
