DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT

We invite you to the exceptionally beautiful resort of Druskininkai to start an active summer vacation with a walk around the most picturesque corners of the city and its surroundings. It's not just a walk - it's a real summer adventure that invites you to move, discover and experience Druskininki in a different way. Step by step, you will travel through green parks, cozy urban spaces and places surrounded by nature, which will reveal the charm of this resort from a new perspective.

On July 18, embark on an adventurous hike that combines active movement, fellowship and the joy of discovery. This is a great opportunity to get away from everyday life, breathe in the fresh air of the resort, try your hand at the chosen track and enjoy the summer mood. It doesn't matter if you hike alone, with family or friends - this day will be full of excitement, good emotions and new experiences.

🌄 We have prepared 5 routes
Choose one of five routes - 10 km, 22 km, 31 km, 39 km, 50 km. Each of them will allow you to see different corners of Druskininkai city and forests.

🏞️ What will you see during the hike?

10 km track
track in Druskininkai is perfect for an easy and pleasant walk. You will start the hike in the Druskininkai Park, then the road will lead past the church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All the Sorrowful" and the Musical Fountain. You will pass Druskininkai St. Virgin Mary Škaplierinė church and K. Dineika health park.
Later, the route will stretch along the Nemunas embankment, where you can admire the views of the river. On the way, you will see Druskininkai Castle, Gydyklė Park and Beauty Spring. Further on, the road will lead past the outcrop of Love Island. You will return past the Vijūnėlė pond back to the starting point. This is a short, cozy and scenic route.

22 km route
the route will allow you to see even more of Druskininkai's natural and tourist attractions. The route will wind along the Paths of the Sun, reaching Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Road VI Sculpture Park.
The hike will continue along the Nemunas embankment, along the way you will see Druskininkai Castle, Gydyklė Park and Beauty Spring. Later, the road will lead past the outcrop of Love Island. The return will stretch past the Vijūnėlė pond back to the starting point. It is a medium-long, varied and picturesque route.

31 km, 39 km and 50 km routes
These routes will lead you through the most beautiful places in Druskininkai and its surroundings. You will start your journey in Druskininkai Park, where you can enjoy the peaceful nature. Further on, the church of the icon of the Mother of God of Druskininkai "Joy of all who mourn" and the Musical Fountain. You will pass Druskininkai St. Virgin Mary Škaplierinė church, you will travel through K. Dineika health park and Druskininkai pond. The route will wind along the Paths of the Sun, you will reach the Park of Sculpture Group VI of Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis Road and the Park of Forest Sculptures. The hike will continue along the Nemunas embankment, on the way you will see the Druskininkai Castle, the Healers' Park and the Beauty Spring.
Later, the road will lead past the outcrop of Love Island and the Devil's Stone. You will reach the Švendrubė sculpture park, and then you will travel through the Švendrubė nature reserve with educational trails.
The return will stretch past the Vijūnėlė pond back to the starting point. These are longer, interesting and picturesque tracks for those looking for challenges.

Routes

10 km – easy, suitable for those looking for a more leisurely walk.
The time to cover the track is about 2-3 hours. The course will run through the city area on asphalt, sidewalks, footpaths and city parks.

22 km - moderate for those who want a slightly more intense hike.
The time to complete the course is about 5 hours.
(40% of the course on gravel and forest paths, 60% on asphalt and sidewalks).
Not suitable with strollers.

31 km - difficult, intended for experienced hikers who are not afraid of challenges and want to fully immerse themselves in the adventure. The time to cover the track is about 7-8 hours. (65% of the course on gravel and forest paths, 35% on asphalt and sidewalks). Not suitable for strollers.

39 km - difficult, for experienced hikers who are not afraid of challenges and want to fully immerse themselves in the adventure. The time to complete the course is about 10 hours. (70% of tracks on gravel and forest paths, 30% on asphalt and sidewalks). Not suitable for pushchairs.

50 km - Very difficult, for experienced hikers who are not afraid of challenges and want to fully immerse themselves in the adventure. The time to complete the track is around 12-13 hours. (80% of the course on gravel and forest paths, 20% on asphalt and sidewalks). Not suitable for wheelchairs.
