Saturday, September 28, from 12:00 p.m. 30 minutes We invite you to a special walk dedicated to one of the most famous doors of the 20th century. dr. of Lithuanian architects To Stas Kudokas (1898 – 1988). It will take place in the city center and in Naujamiestis, we will start at the former Central Post Office (Laisvės al. 102) and end at the Kaunas Cathedral (Nepikamylostės a. 14)
During the tour we will see buildings designed by Stasys Kudokas, who graduated from Rome and Milan, and his contemporaries, the author of such notable buildings as the Kaunas crew's Karininkai ramovė or Kauko's stairs. The tour guide - Jonas Oškinis will tell you about it and answer your questions.
The tour "The Most Beautiful Doors of Kaunas" is an unusual way to get to know the architecture of Kaunas, which was recorded exactly one year ago. to the UNESCO World Heritage List. While traveling, you will be able to see subtle fragments of modernism and learn about their uniqueness.
This excursion is also part of the collective "Let's make Kaunas" traditionally celebrated at the end of September by the architect dr. Stasis Kudok's weekend, for which events will be held for the seventh time this year.
Duration of the trip – 1.5 hours.
