Sunday, October 6, from 12:00 p.m. 30 minutes - if there is a great demand - we invite you to the excursion cycle "The Most Beautiful Doors of Kaunas" a detailed walk around the New Town of Kaunas, dedicated to the small forms of architecture - modernist doors. We will start and finish it at the former Central Post Office - the future Institute of Architecture - on Laisvės aleja.
During the tour, we will see the doors and their buildings, which were designed by such famous architects of the First Republic as dr. Stasys Kudokas, Mykolas Songaila, Vladimiras Dubeneckis, Vytautas Landsbergis - Žemkalnis, Arnas Funkas or nameless designers and craftsmen of that time.
The tour "The Most Beautiful Doors of Kaunas" is an unusual way to get to know the architecture of Kaunas, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List exactly one year ago. Traveling on both sides of Laisvė aleja, you will be able to see subtle fragments of modernism and learn about their uniqueness.
Guide Jonas Oškinis will lead the walk. Travel time - 2 hours.
