The monastery was founded in the second half of the 17th century by Kristupas Zigmantas Pacas, Chancellor of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The construction of the monastery began in 1667. The mountain on which the building was provided was named Monte Pacis (Peace Mountain).

Today, the monastery has been counting more than three centuries -old, legendary history, fascinated by the exceptional baroque appearance and colorful environment. During the tour we will visit the monastery and church. The guide will tell you about the Camaldolese monks and the other hosts of the monastery, its founders and the most famous masters of that time, reveal the secrets of murals.
