Saturday, December 14 12 o'clock 30 minutes we invite you to the tried-and-tested holiday excursion "Christmas is coming to Kaunas" around the center of Kaunas and Naujamiestis. The tour will start and end where the main Christmas tree of Kaunas is standing this year - in Vienybės Square.
During the tour, you will see where the people of Kaunas used to celebrate the big winter holidays 100 and 50 years ago. You will learn about the historical, religious, musical, culinary traditions of the Temporary Capital and even about contemporary street art in Kaunas New Town and the central part of the city.
The excursion scenario was created together by 5 guides of well-known Kaunas guide teams, such as "Gervė Tours", "Garžinkime Kaunas", "Kaunietiškis idomybės", "Guided walks - new" and "Unikalus heritage".
During the trip you will hear authentic quotes from the memories of famous Kaunas - artists, writers, politicians and their family members. You will return from it enriched with knowledge about Kaunas of the "golden age of Smetonia", Soviet, current and most importantly - festive Kaunas!
