The performance is a tour of the interwar Žaliakalnis - a performative event directly involving young and professional artists of Žaliakalnis community, introducing the lively memory and history of the Žaliakalnis residents. It is a joint project of dance troupe Ulna and Kaunas - European Capital of Culture 2022, Kaunas cells - Žaliakalnis - incision, aesthetic means, historical and documentary methods reveal all its beauty. So what binds the capital of Lithuania and the capital of European culture?
The tour will begin with the legendary Kaukas staircase held by the symbol of the interwar Kaunas. According to architectural historian J. Kančienė, during the interwar period it was the most beautiful stairs in Lithuania. Legend has it that the reign of the reign is the hero of Lithuanian myths, such a small guy. Through this trip, with dance, theater and music, the audience will be introduced to the topicalities of the interwar Žaliakalnis and will see what this area looks like today and will experience its Kisma.
The project is unique that the viewer not only monitors the visual production of the work, but also becomes an inclusive participant with the help of headphones. The voices of them, the actor's stories that blend in with the music, will move the participants to another space, immerse them on the journey under the stages of the step - from the interwar period to the present day.
