"In 1934, the first Sea Festival took place, inviting more than 60,000 people to Klaipėda. people from all over Lithuania - the second largest number of people living in the city. Not many photographs of that time have survived, but Audronius Žemgulis , a resident of KKKC, offers to experience a kind of time machine: to capture the anniversary of one of the country's oldest holidays with events spread around the city, and to highlight the photo strips in the same style.
What kind of Klaipėda will appear through a historical photo lens? Maritime culture, traditions of the Pomeranians, old wooden ships - perhaps, on that one day, the silhouettes of that lost Lithuanian-German coexistence, which lasted seven centuries before the Second World War, will emerge in the unexpected shadows.
