May 31 At 1 p.m. KKKC resident Audronius Žemgulis invites you to the creative workshop of Old Portraits, where you will get to know one of the oldest photography processes - the technique of wet colodia. You will photograph a large -format -based camera using the original copper lenses that are still in the 19th century.
This technique requires each image to be created from the beginning - from the plate preparation to the image highlighting in the dark room. The end result is a unit image on glass or metal, distinguished by its texture, depth and historical character. It is a slow, thoughtful way of creating that allows you to explore photography as a synthesis of craft, art and chemistry.
