In the true story,
The singer loses her voice and freezes under mysterious circumstances without being able to perform anymore. Inside it, an unspoken mystery. However, she is not alone - the bold and determined édith piaf is determined to pull her out of bed and lift it to life. One woman's performance with dolls, objects and songs skillfully and innovatively explores the consequences traumatized and intimidated, forced to silence. This performance dives into the consequences of violence on body and soul and deals with the need for self -determination - to remain silent or to speak? Music, friendship and, of course, love.

Yael Rasooly - more than 30 countries and hundreds of theaters and festival invitations have been received by a director, puppeteer and performer famous not only for her inventive theater performances. Yael has won the highest New York Fringe Festival award for a mono -performance, a Diploma with exceptional praise and many other prestigious awards in the visual theater, received French Teleramrama and The New York Times critics. What I constantly did in my art and life is to transform personal pain, trauma, fear, grief and injustice to art that touches everyone, to tell this story in such a way that viewers can see themselves and understand that they are not alone.
I wanted to illuminate these problems and encourage dialogue. Also, here is a true story of how Edita Piaf literally saved me life.
Edita and I is the last part of my 15 -year -old trilogy in which I examine violence against women and children. This last chapter I can finally dedicate to the main journey - healing.

Nordland Visual Theater is located in the northern polar circle, northern Norway, offers residence programs and invites copfrodurations for various creators and theater studies. Theater co -production is not only a traditional puppet theater, but also a variety of interdisciplinary works that combine visual arts, theater, pantomime, dance and multimedia.
