The Internet bridge connected Berlin, Iran and Vienna. Director Faraz Fesharaki has been recording remote video calls with family members for ten years. In the film, conversations full of everyday details are constantly interspersed with political news and Faraz's dreams, in which realities existing in different geographical spaces intertwine. How to create closeness when the internet connection is broken? Archival footage and literary interludes complementing the mise-en-scène of the conversations create a documentary essay close to the form of a diary, and this is most accurately summed up by the thought expressed by the Kiarostami-like father: "To make a film, you don't need to look for anything special, it's enough to look around. To see what is so close that it is not even visible." N-13

Vilnius Documentary Film Festival, founded in 2004, is the oldest international documentary film festival in the Baltic States and, so far, the only festival in Lithuania devoted exclusively to creative documentaries. The main program consists of the films of recent years, which appeared at the most important documentary festivals. Parallel festival programs are dedicated to author retrospectives and special events. VDFF is a space for meetings and conversations: filmmakers, curators, representatives of authors come to the festival, an event catalog with texts accompanying the films is published.
