Director Travis Wilkerson arrives in the Croatian city of Split with the intention of making a film about the fall of Yugoslavia, but takes a different turn. We get to know police detective Ivan Peričius, who is investigating the cases of tourists who died in the country. The bureaucratic system and the locals' hatred of foreigners make every Croat a suspect and cases unsolvable. Connecting the present with the past, the director brings to the fore the Ustashi movement, which committed genocide against Serbs, Roma and Jews. Rooted hatred can also be felt in today's society, manifestations of aggression and fascist symbols can be seen in the public spaces of the city. This is a film that reveals a different side of the resort holiday country. N-13

Vilnius Documentary Film Festival, founded in 2004, is the oldest international documentary film festival In the Baltic countries and so far the only festival in Lithuania dedicated exclusively to creative documentaries. The main program consists of the films of recent years, which appeared at the most important documentary festivals. Parallel festival programs are dedicated to author retrospectives and special events. VDFF is a space for meetings and conversations: filmmakers, curators, representatives of authors come to the festival, an event catalog with texts accompanying the films is published.
