A visionary and unpredictable piece of cinema that analyzes the digestive process as a fundamental condition of human bodily existence. In the center of the film there are five important texts that talk about the boundary between the physical body and the spiritual interiority. The thoughts of Italian poet Dantes Alighieri, science fiction writer Octavia Butler, and French physiologist Claude Bernand are read. It is an intelligent, virtual reality-like documentary in which the modern visual language of cinema combines with philosophical themes and, together with the musical fabric of the film, creates a unique experience. The Vilnius Documentary Film Festival, founded in 2004, is the oldest international documentary film festival in the Baltic States and, so far, the only festival in Lithuania devoted exclusively to creative documentaries. VDFF is a space for meetings and conversations: filmmakers, curators, authors' representatives come to the festival, an event catalog with texts accompanying the films is published.
