Hamid, a political prisoner who escaped from war-torn Syria, lost everything - his wife, child and home. All he seems to be left with is an unending desire for justice and scars, both soul and body. Like a ghost, a former literature teacher wanders around Strasbourg in search of the war criminal who tortured him - Sami Hanna. Haunted by the shadows of his past, Hamid starts following a compatriot he met at a French university. As a tense game of cat and mouse begins, Hamid becomes more and more convinced that it is this kind man who tortured him, so he tries to recognize him by his voice and smell. . Sparkling tension here intertwines with moral dilemmas, social and political issues, and is drawn to the screen by the magnetic performance of Adam Bessa (2022 Cannes Special Look Award for Best Actor in Harka) and a mystical soundtrack.
