Spend a weekend day on the water admiring the nature and architecture of Vilnius.
The tour starts from Žirmūnai beach. Later, the surroundings of nature and the sounds of birds are replaced by city views, architectural masterpieces of various periods: St. Peter and Paul Church, Gediminas Castle Tower, Raduskevici Palace, National Opera and Ballet Theatre, St. Church of the Apostles Philip and Jacob, modern skyscrapers. At the end of the expedition, you will also get away from the city for a while by swimming through the green park of Vingis.
TIME. We start at 11:00, we start with a briefing, during which you will hear all the necessary information: how to properly get on the paddle board, how to swim correctly, what to do if you fall, which route to swim and other important rules of behavior on the water. The instruction takes about 15 minutes, then you will be swimming. The length of the route is about - 11 km. Duration of the tour: 2 - 3 hours. (depending on the speed of the swimmers, wind direction and strength).
ROUTE. We meet at Žirmūnai beach (Coordinates 54.723521, 25.310847, link to the map https://goo.gl/maps/5pz4kakwZaR2), we swim to Shaltūnai beach near the Litexpo Palace. We recommend leaving your car at Šaltūnai beach (or at the Litexpo palace parking lot) and arriving at Žirmūnai beach by taxi or public transport.
CLOTHES. Wear loose, sporty clothes that won't interfere with getting into the water (you can also roll up your pants:) Choose clothes according to the weather conditions: if the forecast promises a cooler evening - dress warmer. We recommend having dry clothes in the car in case you accidentally fall (very unlikely, but better to be prepared). If you arrive without a car, you can leave your belongings with us and we will transport them safely to the finish line.
Tour participants can rent neoprene shoes (+5 EUR) or a dry suit (+10 EUR) while swimming. In order to rent shoes or suits, it is necessary to contact the organizers in advance by phone or e-mail. by post
PRICE. The price of the tour is EUR 30 (the price includes: instruction, all necessary equipment).
In case of very unfavorable weather conditions (storm, thunderstorm or other dangerous natural phenomenon), which may endanger the participants of the event, the event may not take place at the scheduled time and may be postponed to another date by mutual agreement. In such a case, the tour participants are informed by contacting them personally on the phone specified at the time of ticket purchase.
PARTICIPANTS. People from 13 years old can participate in the paddleboard tour. with an accompanying adult. We also invite rowing enthusiasts with their own paddles to join the tour. In this case, there is no need to buy a ticket when sailing with your own equipment, but please inform the organizers about your participation by e-mail. by mail (info@gosup.lt) indicating your contact phone number, by which we could contact you in case of need. Participation in the tour is prohibited for persons under the influence of alcohol or other substances. The organizers reserve the right not to provide the service to intoxicated persons and not to refund the money for the paid ticket.
If the event takes place, but the client does not come to the event and does not contact the administration in advance before the event due to his/her absence, the money paid for the ticket is not returned. The purchased ticket is valid only for the event, the date of which is indicated when purchasing the ticket. The money for the ticket is refunded only if the tour does not take place.
