It has long been maturing to revive the works of tango in the interwar period in Lithuania on the Vilnius Tango Theater stage. Born in Argentina, Tango, underwent the ocean and wandering around Europe, the 20th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, he also stumbled upon Lithuania. Here he was met ambiguously - he was admired and resentful, as everywhere else.
Vilnius Tango Theater, which has been fascinated by the spectacular performances of Argentinian tango for a decade, has fulfilled his old dream and invites Lila Trio to a special evening for Lithuanian Independence Day. And it is no coincidence that the tango is a dance of freedom that finds a place in the minds and hearts of free people.
For the first time in theater history, Tango speaks Lithuanian - revealing the beauty, elegance and passion of legendary interwar creators Daniel Dolski and Antanas Šabaniauskas.
This show confirms the little known but important truth: the tango was shocked and sung in Lithuania in the interwar period, just a few decades after its appearance in Argentina.
