The epicenter of the monodrama "Being" is a young girl Elena, who for the first time in her life has to make an important, but unexpected and very difficult decision. The news of an unplanned life is considered one of the biggest shocks in life, because at the moment of decision, a person realizes that life will change irreversibly in any case. Lost due to the stress, Elena makes an appointment for an abortion, but before that she is invited to visit a consultation, where the specialists will confirm her decision. Elena has no idea that this visit will be fatal.

Dovilė Katiliūtė's dramaturgy is based on real stories of women who have faced unplanned pregnancy or abortion. Documentary material gives the play intimacy and authenticity, revealing extremely sensitive topics that are often uncomfortable to talk about in society. What to choose? Abortion or childbirth without any support? The search for being is revealed in the performance - how to "be"? How to live with your choice? How to deal with the psychological consequences of these choices, overcoming social exclusion or loneliness. What does it mean for us to be? Are we really? Do we have the right to decide, or can others? Or maybe there are only others at the time of the decision?

The final part of the show is the photo exhibition "I am" of people who have faced an unplanned pregnancy or abortion, accompanied by their real stories. The documentary exhibition is intended to reveal the real thoughts of this phenomenon in today's Lithuania. After the performance, the audience will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in live, extremely sensitive and real testimonies, which will transfer the theatrical fiction into reality, reminding us that the theater is just a lie about the truth, and in life we ​​ourselves are the directors.

Director L. Krivickaitė - "The play is full of ambiguity, witty situations and misunderstandings, people often avoid talking about difficult topics openly. The prevailing upbeat mood, comical situations and humor in the play are like a natural means of protection for the main character. Instead of moralizing or gaslighting the problem, we present it as a natural, man-made phenomenon that began with the advent of human birth control. Unplanned pregnancy or the phenomenon of abortion are seemingly very dark topics, but if you choose the right way of acquaintance, this story is told by educating the viewer, encouraging him to rethink his origin and purpose in this world. Human pain often forces us to look back at essential values, so there is a lot of love and light in the play, and choosing to be or not is a personal matter for everyone."
