We invite you to a full-day educational motorcycle excursion "Border in the middle of Lithuania: in the footsteps of the demarcation line".

For almost twenty years, a border stretched across the middle of Lithuania, separating Lithuania from the Polish-occupied Vilnius region. During this trip, we will drive through the areas of the former border and get acquainted with one of the most interesting and least known periods of Lithuanian history.

You will find out how the demarcation line came about, how it changed the life of the surrounding towns, why the center of Trakai County was moved to Kaišiadori and under what circumstances the Diocese of Kaišiadori was established.

Basic information

Date: August 2 d. Meeting time: 8:45 a.m. Departure: 9:00 a.m. Meeting place: EMSI gas station, Savanorių pr. 225, Vilnius.Duration: about 7-8 hours.

Most of the route will be on paved roads. During the motorcycle excursion, there will be stops for historical stories, short rest and photography.
