9:30 – 13:00 Theoretical part (+ coffee break):
History of development of lasers, their types and physical properties; Rules and requirements for safe work with lasers; Effects of lasers on biological tissues; Application of lasers in dentistry; Photobiomodulation (laser biostimulation); Lasers in endodontics; Lasers in orthodontics; Lasers in therapeutic treatment; Lasers in periosurgery. 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch in the cafe
14:00 – 17:00 Practical tasks:
Soft tissue procedures (diode lasers): Gingivectomy or gingival contouring (on the pig jaw); Frenulectomy imitation (on the pig jaw); Laser biostimulation of aphthous ulcers or herpetic lesions; Laser hemostasis after incision. extracted teeth);Endodontics: Laser disinfection of root canals (on extracted teeth).Periodontology/periosurgery:Decontamination of periodontal pockets by laser (on pig jaw);Clinical crown lengthening (on pig jaw);Removal of mucosal formations (on pig jaw).Therapeutic laser treatment (photobiomodulation):Pain reduction after surgical intervention;Tissue healing stimulation after injuries or procedures.
