The State Youth Theater presents the object education "Fairy Tales" created by director Saulės Degutytė together with actresses Aldona Bendoriūta and Dalia Morozovaita.
S. Degutytė in 2004 founded the non-traditional group of artists "Stalo teatras" and since 2010 led by her. Here, she directed about 40 object and object theater performances, based on folk tales, fairy tales, myths of various nations, literary works of Lithuanian and foreign writers, and specially created dramas. Organized object exhibitions and installations in Lithuania and abroad. The director is a member of the Association of Theaters for Children and Youth ASSITEJ Lithuania and the international association of puppeteers UNIMA. in 2022 she was awarded the Culture and Art Prize of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, her works were repeatedly nominated for the "Golden Stage Cross", and in 2012 and 2014 - the last award.
The educational program is aimed at elementary school students and combines tradition with contemporary art. During it, children not only observe a Lithuanian folk tale, told using the theater of objects, but also become creators themselves - they create their own mini-performances from various objects. It develops imagination, creativity, sustainable thinking and teamwork skills.
