From afar, Vilnius cogeneration power plant no. 2 invites you to find out and understand how heat, hot water and electricity occur. It is one of the most interesting industrial objects in the Baltic States.
A huge area covering more than 20 ha is like a town with its streets, history and secrets. At its center is a red brick building that staff called the monster. From here, about 750 km in length, the heat is traveling to the house of Vilnius residents. How does it appear? What devices do you grow inside? Why are bullets found in biofuels?
Along with the guide, you will travel the streets of the power plant, take a stroll through the monster corridors, visit the basement of the HBO series Chernobyl and hear the secrets stored for many years.
Employees say they never know what the monster will be surprised, so be prepared for surprises.
Persons participating in the tour must comply with all safety requirements, keep up with the group or touch the equipment. Throughout the tour, participants must wear helmets and signal vests issued by the organizers. Part of the excursion is outdoors, some are indoors, so take into account the weather conditions and take care of the right outfit.
