Vilnius Ethnic Culture Center once again invites you to delve into the secrets of straw gardens. In the camp "Sodo rėda" dedicated to the tradition of garden tying, included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, both experienced and beginners, who want to learn the intricacies of this art, will find their place.

This year, August 7-9. The participants of the camp, which will be held in the botanical garden of Vilnius University (Kairėnų St. 43, Vilnius), will be treated to various workshops on straw gardens and other straw products, and the practical part of the camp will be diversified by morning lectures and presentations of the weavers' creations. Masters from both Lithuania and abroad will share the secrets of the craft and knowledge about the traditions of straw gardens in their region at "Sodo rėda". During the camp, Monika Požerskytė-Kalvelė's photo exhibition "The Straw Garden and its Man" will also be open.

The camp will take place in the VU Botanic Garden in Kairenai.
