At the end of this year, the new musical project "Cabaret among the whirlwinds" will reach the cities of Lithuania, where music, theater, humor and the legendary work of Vytautas Kernagis meet. Actors and singers Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis, together with a group of professional musicians, invite the audience to a concert-performance lasting more than an hour and a half, in which well-known songs will sound new.

After the successful premiere in the Palanga concert hall, the agency "Pepper Live", which presents the musical show, announces a big holiday tour around Lithuania. From the beginning of December to the end of January, "Cabaret among the Windmills" will visit fifteen cities in the country, inviting the audience to remember the legacy of one of the most prominent creators of Lithuanian singing poetry.

The program is based on the legendary songs of the "Tarp girnų" cabaret, which have already become part of the history of Lithuanian music. The audience will hear such works as "Our days as holidays", "Colorado beetles", "Kansaras No. 2", "Jemutinių piļių festas", "Plumber from Ukmergė", "Lietuvaitė", "Armonica", "The foot presses the gas", "Hundred of springs", "How beautiful in the forest" and many others. The concert will also feature Vytautas Kernagis' unreleased song "The Last Day of Pompeii".

The creators emphasize that this is not just a traditional concert. The scenography, costumes and lighting solutions created especially for this project create a unique cabaret atmosphere, where retro aesthetics and modern stage narrative are interwoven. There is no lack of humor, improvisation, conversations with the audience and unexpected theatrical moments, which allow the audience to become not observers, but participants of the evening.

Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis create a lively dialogue with the audience on stage, while a group of professional musicians gives new colors to well-known melodies. Music, words and theatrical form merge here into a single narrative, in which nostalgic memories are combined with a modern look.

"Cabaret among Mills" promises to be one of the most outstanding musical events of the holiday season. It is an evening in which not only legendary songs sound, but also a lively sense of community, humor and bright emotion that will accompany the audience long after the concert.

The tour will start on December 3. In Alytus, they will visit Ukmergė, Mazeikis, Jonava, Tauragė, Palanga, Panevėžys, Marijampole, Telšias, Klaipėda, Šilutė, Kaunas, Vilnius, Šiauliai and Birštonas. Tickets for all performances are distributed by Bilietai.lt.
