On 25 July B'art will invite you to think about how life might sound? There is probably no one answer. However, there is a creator sharing his own version. This is Gediminas Gelgotas. For the first time without stage partners, without an ensemble or orchestra. For the first time, just to the piano. For the first time - so personally, sensitive and frankly that the concert can be called autobiographical. There will be piano miniatures born from the most important motifs of his works - from the earliest to the "Vilnius Sarabanda". In other words, large symphonic scores will turn into fragile, emotional and meditative musical moments that will join the piano solo.
According to Gediminas Gelgotas, his goal is not to reveal the evolution of his creative work, but to move listeners to another reality at least for a short time: "I hope that the concert will calm down thoughts and wakes hearts.
So make a special experience. You get so involved that you can think about where you are - surrounded by Bartninkai ruins or in the creator's room where he improvises his closest buddies?
The composer Gediminas Gelgotas does not tirelessly raise between creative and concert stages, conducting and long hours of creation. These stages change each other and eventually consist of what the life of this artist is - creation and its performance in various forms and contexts. All of this is reflected in his broad biography, which includes creation, performance, conducting.
At the age of nineteen, Gediminas Gelgotas founded the ensemble Niko (now in Vilnius city
The ensemble NIKO), with which he has been holding over fifty concerts for almost two decades and performing in halls such as Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Nice Opera, London St Martins in the Fields and elsewhere. 2012 The work of a young Baltic composer Gediminas Gelgotas "Never Ignore the Cosmic Ocean" was performed by the Symphony Orchestra in the famous Berlin Konzerhaus Concert Hall, which became a significant event on his career. The successful premiere of the work, named by critics as the "sensation" opened its doors to this and other works of Gediminas Gelgotas to other famous European concert halls and festivals. The composer's music is broadcast by international classical music channels for Mezzo TV, Arte TV, Radio Stations Classic FM, BRSSIK and more. He is also often invited to conduct his work for symphony and chamber orchestras and professional choirs, and performed in various chamber ensembles. Pope Francis, his Lama Lama, and Queen Sonja of Norway and presidents of many European countries, listened to Gediminas Gelgotas Gelgotas' music.
The project B'Art is partly funded by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilkaviškis District Municipality, organized by Vilkaviškis Cultural Center.
