January 25 at 3 p.m. The 20th jubilee festival of Aukštaitija village bands - the competition "Grok, Jurgeli 2025" awaits all lovers of folk music in the Biržai cultural center.
We invite Birz residents and guests of the city to spend a fun and memorable evening, to sing together with the bands and to choose the coolest one that will represent the region of Aukštaitija in the republican "Grok, Jurgeli" festival that will be held in the fall.
Bands will compete for the coolest name:
"Keiziai" (Ignalina district), "Radvija", "Old acquaintances" (Radviliškis), "Širvena" (Biržai), "Smilgenė" (Panevėžys district), "Ringė" (Ignalina), "Linksmuolė" (Visaginas) , (Zarasu district).
The host of the event is actress Birute Prekevičiūtė.
Folk songs accompany and delight us on various occasions since childhood.
