V INTERNATIONAL JOSEPH ACHRON MUSIC FESTIVAL "For the whole family: Jaša Heifetz. A boy from Vilnius" Giedrius ARBAČIAUSKAS (actor)
Dalia DĖDINSKAITĖ (violin)
Chris RUEBENS (guitar) Concert for the whole family about the boy Jaša Heifetz, who was born in Vilnius and started his extraordinary journey into the world of music here. In this musical story, actor Giedrius Arbačiauskas, violinist Dalia Dėdinskaitė and guitarist Chris Rubens invite children, young people and families to get to know one of the most prominent figures in world music from Lithuania - violin genius Jaša Heifetz. Little Jaša started playing the violin as a child. From Vilnius, his talent spread all over the world, and his name is still mentioned alongside the greatest music legends of the 20th century. His musical path is also connected with another prominent Litvak music creator - composer and violinist Joseph Achronus. Heifetz performed and popularized Achron's work, and their artistic connection became an important part of Litvak musical heritage. The year 2026 marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of Jaša Heifetz and the 140th anniversary of the birth of Joseph Achrons, so this concert becomes an opportunity to rediscover their stories - close, inspiring and connected to Lithuania. The event will intertwine music, live storytelling and an imaginative journey into the world of a boy who started his musical journey in Vilnius. This is a concert not only for listening, but also for getting to know the city, talent, history and personalities whose names have become part of world music culture. About the performers Giedrius Arbačiauskas is an actor, bard, reader and performer of sung poetry, whose work combines theater, music and living words. On stage, Giedrius stands out for his sincerity, subtle artistic feeling and ability to establish a live connection with listeners of various ages. Dalia Dėdinskaitė is one of the most prominent Lithuanian violinists, laureate of national and international competitions. She has performed in many European countries, the USA and New Zealand, appeared as a soloist with Lithuanian and foreign orchestras, made her debut in the famous Vienna Musikverein hall. Dalia is the former concertmaster of the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. In this concert, her violin will help open the world of Jaša Heifetz's music to children and families. Chris Ruebens is a guitarist, composer and vocalist born in Belgium and living in Lithuania. His work combines classical, jazz and world music, and his concert activities span Europe and Asia. Chris plays with the Baltic Guitar Quartet, composes music for various ensembles, theater and educational projects, and his works have won international awards.
