BAI KAMARA JR & VOODOO SNIFFERS (Belgium):
BAI KAMARA JR. (vocals, guitar, Belgium/Sierra Leone)
TOM BEARDSLEE (guitar, backing vocals)
BORIS TCHANGO (drums, backing vocals)
Born in Sierra Leone, grew up in Great Britain, developed his musical talent in Belgium, and will come to Lithuania this year. This is Bai Kamara Jr. He will flood the stage with his energy and temperament!
The artist's work stylishly intertwines elements of blues, soul, funk R&B, jazz. However, the singer singles out blues as soul music. It perfectly suits Bai's warm, soulful vocals and reminds the singer of his African roots.
This is symbolically reflected in the new album Traveling Medicine Man, which was inspired by his grandfather's missionary activities. According to the artist, this album is a continuation of the journey to his roots and a constant effort to live in two homes - Africa and Europe. You will find out how he succeeds in this by playing Afro-blues songs in Bai's unique style.

Press about the album :"Incredibly honest, a powerful mix of cultures...The perfect medicine"Rolling Stone (FR)"Strong love" Rocktimes (DE)About the album:
Three years after the release of his critically acclaimed album Salon, Bai Kamara Jr. presents his new work - Traveling Medicine Man. It features Afro-blues songs rendered in Bai's unique style. Evocatively, sometimes provocatively, the singer, like a narrator, carefully explores the themes of love, life, relationships and politics.
"Traveling Medicine Man is a continuation of my introspective journey to my roots and a constant quest for two homes - Africa and Europe - to coexist in me. The name was inspired by my maternal grandfather, Tinka Tanner Kargbo, born in 1901. in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone. It was taught by Protestant missionaries, who later included it in their activities. Thus, the grandfather traveled around the country together with the missionaries and provided medical assistance to the inhabitants of villages and towns. I had the good fortune to spend some time with him when I was still a child. One of the things that fascinated me the most was my grandfather's ability to combine Christian beliefs with African traditions, faith and customs", says Bai Kamara Jr. about his creative inspiration.
