We start the year 2025 with a visualized musical-literary program ČIURLIONIS PAGARBINIMAI, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the composer and painter M.K. Čiurlionis. Visualizations by actor Dainiaus Svobonas, Kaunas music ensemble "Ainiai" and video artist Karolis Bratkauskas will revive the spirit of Čiurlionis with his harmonized songs, which will be sounded by the voices of soloists Justina Tomkutė-Petraitienė and Rytis Janilionis. Colorful musical arrangements and creative strokes for Čiurlionis' songs were created by the composer Donatas Zakars, the music will be carried by the texts and visualizations of the poets K. Bradūnas, J. Degutytės, A. Nyka-Niliūnas, J. Vaičiūnaitės, S. Gedas, S. Nėries and other poets, emerging from initials of rarely seen letters created by Čiurlionis. The premiere of the program will be held at the Kaunas Cinema Center "Romuva" on January 24 at 6 p.m. It's like a ritual, a cycle of echoes or a pyramid built from music, poetry, painting, and at the top is Čiurlionis, looking at us from the high towers of the sky.
