The legendary "Cathedral of Paris" returns to the big stages of Lithuania this year.
"This is the most beautiful love story ever written. "Paris Cathedral" achieved all possible musical records in Lithuania and Europe. Every time I sing in this musical, it feels like the first time - I'm reliving this amazing story over and over again," says David Norville, who plays Quasimodo and Grenguar.
"When I first heard "Paris Cathedral" I thought that those who can perform such beautiful music are blessed. At that time, the musical genre was not popular in Lithuania, so participating in such a project was more of a dream than a reality. Today, it came true in a big way - I have been singing in this musical for 16 years. I am very happy that I have such an opportunity, that the music is able to move not only my hearts, but also the hearts of the fans of this genre!", says Raimonds Baranauskas, the star of "Paris Cathedral".
Vaida Genytė, who plays the role of Fluer De Lys, feels very happy every time she sings in "Paris Cathedral": "The music and plot of this stage-concert production captures everyone's hearts! It is not for nothing that it has been in Lithuania for 16 years. I am very happy to be a part of this magnificent work!".
The musical "Paris Cathedral" is based on Victor Hugo's classic novel published in 1831. This is a story about the young gypsy Esmeralda's heart torn by love and passion, about the struggle between evil and good, about care and devotion, the clash of pride and virtue. Esmeralda's fate is tragic, but eternal love and pure feelings for her remain smoldering in the heart of the hunchbacked bell ringer Quasimodo until the end of his life.
