For the first time, the Kaunas Philharmonic is organizing an event specially adapted for families raising children with sensory challenges. Through stories and live music, children will be able not only to listen, but also to experience the concert in a clear form acceptable to them.
October 11 parents, grandparents, guardians with children with individual needs are invited to dare to open the doors of the Kaunas Philharmonic and participate in the educational performance adapted for them "Musical Five Stories". At this event, guests from the orchestra of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater will tell the audience about their instruments (flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, bass clarinet) in a playful way, and the presentation of each instrument will be accompanied by a short piece of music that best reveals their timbre.
At the beginning of the interactive musical performance, its presenters - actors Karolina Žernytė and Martynas Kavaliauskas - will introduce the young listeners to the rules of listening to and watching concerts and performances, as well as the rules of behavior in the hall. They will agree when they need to listen and when they can ask questions. And then five LNOBT orchestra musicians - Karolina Daukšienė, Vilius Kalvėnas, Vytenis Matutis, Vytautas Giedraitis and Lukas Sarpalius will tell the children about their best friends: flute Pauvelina, clarinet Bufė Krampon Ležana, horn Stase, bass clarinet Pon Bos, oboe Lina Obuolinas. We have no doubt that thanks to this company of vocal pranksters, a beautiful friendship with the Kaunas Philharmonic will begin.
In order to ensure a more comfortable and predictable experience for children, the duration of the musical performance in the Small Hall is 30 minutes, but if necessary, at any time it will be possible to go out to the spaces adjacent to the hall, where children will have quiet corners. During the concert, children will be able to move freely and use their own headphones.
