The mission of The Ditties is to foster professional jazz-swing music and culture in Lithuania. 20th century in the forties in the USA, music was everything - it saved people from sadness in the face of economic difficulties, it awakened the desire to enjoy life and believe in it. So much optimism, so much fun is concentrated in the songs of those times. It was like opium, a real craze, and "The Ditties" unconsciously revive that almighty music frenzy in our musical activities, accurately, correctly, professionally and at the same time very emotionally recreating the stylistics of female vocal ensembles of that era. Veronika Čičinskaitė-Golovanova, Rūta Švipaitė, Rūta Jakulytė turn into real queens of swing on stage, very quickly letting the listener feel how strong the magic of this unique style is.
