Although L. Geniušas has long been known as one of the most interesting and original artists of his generation, today his name is getting louder all over the world - in 2022. together with opera soloist Asmik Grigorian, the pianist won the prestigious Gramophone Classical Music Award for the album "Dissonance". L. In the second part of the concert, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra, conducted by maestro G. Rinkevičius, will perform the Fifth Symphony of the German musical genius Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827), one of the most famous classical works in the world. "This is how fate knocks at the door", L. van Beethoven wrote about the recurring motif in the symphony, which critics also call "the most famous four notes in the history of Western music". Because of these words of the composer, after his death, the work received the name "Symphony of Fate". L. van Beethoven's contemporary Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann wrote: "This wonderful composition keeps climbing and climbing to the peak, leading the listener to the spiritual world of Infinity. The soul of every listener is touched by the spiritual reality created by this music, where sorrow and joy take the form of music."
The Kaunas Philharmonic is next to the special M. Ravel Concert on the left hand and famous L. van Beethoven's Fifth symphony will be played as well as some preludes by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis (1875–1911).
