"Forever Yours, forever mine, forever ours" - that's how Ludwig van Beethoven signed his letter "To the Immortal Beloved". During the concert program, one of L. van Beethoven's most impressive masterpieces will be played - the 13th String Quartet, Op. 130, created in the last years of his life. Being ahead of its time in terms of modern definition, this work may seem avant-garde even to a modern listener. Among the quartet's contrasting parts, actor Andrius Bialobžeskis will read excerpts from the Heiligenstadt Testament (a letter written by the composer to his brothers Karl and Johan in 1802, in which he describes his despair and anxiety over his hearing loss) and the mysterious and intimate letter "To the Immortal Beloved", written ten years after the Testament , when the composer was already completely deaf. These texts allow us to look into L. van Beethoven's soul - tormented, irritable, but full of love for humanity and loved ones. The original concert program, which combines listening to brilliant chamber music and authentic text, will create an extraordinary artistic atmosphere.
