Baroque music singer Renata Dubinskaitė together with pianist Jone Punyte-Svigariene, commemorating Lithuanian composers Anatolijus Šenderovs, Dalia Raudonikytė-With, Algirdas Martinaitis, Raminta Šerkšnytė and Loreta Narvilaitė's anniversary, presents the program "Bird's song".

The major part of the program consists of songs by Lithuanian women composers, conveying the author's exciting stories and themes, strong emotional and spiritual states. All of them have a different artistic style, but certain threads of life and creativity, fate and decisions intertwine. The name of the program was inspired by the fairy tale of the Pomeranian region of Lithuania about a woman-bird with a tragic fate and the theater performance born on the basis of this story, with the song cycle "Songs of the Sun" by Raminta Šerkšnytė. Where does the bird rush to fly, what does it call to the sun and the sky, and what keeps the mother's heart on earth, in the eternal human misery? Her mourning for her children and the whole world is painful, but at the same time bright, full of hope. What did the young woman Konstancija Brunzdaitė feel, three years before her death, when she wrote the tragic "Lamentation" that became a cry of the soul? What St. Dalia Raudonikytė-With, also early called from this earth, longs for Augustin's lips: divine light, mercy or love? With what melodies and words do the themes of war, separation, mourning sound? Alongside these dramatic, expressive works, the opuses of Zita Bružaitė, Loreta Narvilaitė and Vidmantas Bartulis plunge into contemplative states - images of winter, snow and blooming cherries convey the harmony of nature's beauty and fragility, the balance of eternity and temporality.

Next to the statements of female creators, the program is complemented by works by male composers who draw expressive pictures of women. Anatolij Shenderov, inspired by the texts of the Old Testament, creates a portrait of Shulamita - a sensual, mysterious eastern beauty, the prototype of the Beloved and Betrothed, who sacralizes spiritual and physical love. As a contrast to this picture of a woman, Algirdas Martinaitis's composition tells the story of storms of feelings in the heart of a young girl, in the language of caricature and grotesque, where created ideals and rising, yet unknown desires are fighting.

The "Bird's Song" program, focusing on the world of women's experiences and ways of creative expression, reflects different experiences of love, motherhood, loss, longing, and the fragility of being. They are revealed in the relationship of music with images and stories of mythology, folklore, religion and poetry.
