Raigardas Tautkus Champagne Kaunas Choir celebrates its 15th anniversary!

Exactly 15 years ago, Lithuanian viewers saw an event called "Choir Wars" on television screens. This event received a lot of different reactions. The voices of the academic choir community poured out the voices of resentment "What are the choirs and their repertoire. Hears the dericious reputation of the choirs." From the youth gap, there were shouts of joy that the choir format is finally interesting!
And indeed, the choirs began to look dynamic, vigorous. A lot of decorative, acting, choreography was used. There were several choirs on the television screen that were intensively competing with each other. The cities, represented by the support of the choirs and the Choir Wars, became like the war of Lithuanian cities, among the choirs who entered the deadly battle for the victory.
And in this context, Raigardas Tautkus Champagne Kaunas Choir was particularly distinguished.
Just starting with the selection to this choir, when not all Laisvės Alley, it had turned into a live champagne choir. Later, at the event itself, the choir was distinguished by its original repertoire, presented their original arrangements here both Beatles, Elton John and Eric Clapton, and the brothers Tautkus Rondo and V. Kernagis, and many other songs in the new, newly arranged Raigard himself. Thus, the commission and television viewers unanimously appreciated the champagne choir and acknowledged him as the winner of the first Choir Wars.
And then the Thanksgiving and Glory Hike through the Lithuanian Concert Hall began. No one who had attended these concerts will not lie that the halls were overflowing with happy spectators.
It is only a pity that no one of the choirs could repeat such a success of such a concert tour.
The truth had been paused for a while in its activities. And this is understandable - young people, the search for life, the period of various affection. However, the mood of the team has changed lately. The desire to be together is becoming stronger on stage.
Currently, both choir leader, composer Raigard and choir participants, have many beautiful ideas that they don't even want to reveal. But soon we will hear it all and see it.
