The Kaunas State Philharmonic, together with the Pažaislis Music Festival, invites you to a concert to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of this legendary composer. The program will feature the most popular works of J. Strauss to the orchestra, opera and operetta arias and duets that will fill the evening atmosphere of Vienna.
Robertas Šervenikas will conduct the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, creating a special interpretation of music, engaging both musicians and audiences. The soloists of the concert are world -famous performers. Ukrainian tenor Dmytro Popov, singing in the most famous European scenes and the prestigious New York Metropolitan Opera Theater, and his wife, talented soprano Julia Novikova, who has won recognition in the European and South American opera scenes. She was particularly famous for Jilda's role in Giuseppe's Verdi Opera Rigoletas in a television movie, where she sang Placido Domingo and Rugger Raimondi, and the orchestra was conducted by the legendary Zubin Mehta.
