The voice that opened Kirk Franklin's concerts, played on Emeli Sandé's records and joined Jennifer Hudson's "The Voice UK" team is in Kaunas.
On October 10, the VDU Great Hall will be flooded with the energy of London soul and the power of one of the brightest British gospel voices.
Born in Jamaica and raised in London, Jason Nicholson-Porter is a British gospel artist, songwriter, vocal arranger and teacher with over three decades of experience on stage.
Jason was discovered by a wide UK audience in 2018 when he performed "Amazing Grace" in the blind auditions of The Voice UK. His voice was enough to turn Jennifer Hudson and invite Jason to her team.
Jason's three official performances on The Voice UK - Amazing Grace, Let It Be and When You Believe - have already been viewed over two million times online. His duet of "Let It Be" received a standing ovation from the audience, and The Voice UK itself called the performance a vocal battle worthy of the world stage.
But television is only one part of Jason's musical story.
His voice is featured on Emeli Sandé's Long Live the Angels album, he has sung backing vocals for Wretch 32, toured the UK with X Factor runner-up Rebecca Ferguson and presented his original music in South Africa.
Jason has also opened concerts for global gospel music legends Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Karen Clark Sheard and Richard Smallwood.
The British publication "Keep The Faith" calls him a "golden voice" and one of the strongest UK gospel vocalists. The Guardian cites Jason's performance alongside Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond as an example of a true gospel show, one that the audience not only hears, but feels as they get up from their seats.
His original song "Smile" was nominated for Best Song at the Premier Gospel Awards.
The program will meet soul, gospel and interpretations of popular music familiar to the audience - from sensitive ballads to climaxes that lift the voice, the hall and the audience.
