"Not a one-day project, but an ensemble that regularly rehearses, performs and develops - this is my old dream. I am very happy that I managed to realize this dream in Lithuania. I have gathered ten professional musicians who are like-minded with the goal of playing well-known and rarely performed masterpieces of classical music on stage, and the premiere is still being created", - this is how the virtuoso talks about the circumstances of the ensemble's emergence.
The ensemble debuted in 2022. June 26 At the Pazaislis music festival concert, held at the Kaunas State Philharmonic. "Palease" actively performs concerts throughout Lithuania, so in two years of its existence, the ensemble has become a friend of the audience of many large and surrounding cities and towns in Lithuania. in 2023 the first "Paleaseis" tour took place in the pianist's hometown of Moldova, at the Chisinau Philharmonic, where the ensemble was well received by both the audience and the critics, calling the concert "undoubtedly amazing and providing unforgettable impressions". Paleasis also received great reviews during their tour in France, at the Moulin d'Ande festival, where their music was called "not at a festival level, but at a philharmonic level".
The toy festival has already become its own for the ensemble. in 2024 in the summer, Paleasis will appear there for the third time, presenting two conceptual programs that reveal the parallels of the music of one of the most famous Lithuanian composers, Onutė Narbutaitė and Fryderyk Chopin, and the great works of romanticism and the 20th century. the genius of the compositions of century classics Franz Schubert, Béla Bartók and Aram Khachaturian. The concert programs will be performed by A. Paleyus, violinist Kristijonas Pūtys, violist Tomas Savickas, clarinetist Karolis Kolakauskas and cellist Marius Dominykas Sakavičius, the new member of Paleasis making his debut at the festival.
"Paleasis" is distinguished by its unique composition, which allows us to turn making music together into a chamber music laboratory, which opens up wide possibilities of repertoire and getting to know each other. "I appreciate the professionalism of my stage partners and the taste of the Lithuanian audience, so together with the ensemble we are constantly looking for opportunities to expand the repertoire and surprise and delight Lithuanian listeners with it," says the pianist.
