VLADAS DIENINIS X SHEIKO DANCE THEATER

Vladas Dieninis - composer and performer , who creates music for contemporary dance and theater performances, collaborates with creators of interdisciplinary art. In his solo performances, he mainly focuses on interpretations of rhythmic music. The performer constantly experiments with electronic music stylistics and percussion techniques. With the help of sound effects, each of his concerts acquires new colors and compositional solutions. Performances become like an improvised ritual, in which ambient, noise, tribal, techno and bass elements merge into a hypnotic flow that takes listeners away from their usual presence on the dance floor.

2012 Šeikos Dance Theater, founded in Klaipėda, is one of the most actively creating professional contemporary dance troupes in Lithuania. The dance theater led by choreographer Agnija Šeikos creates and presents dance performances of various genres and forms to domestic and foreign audiences, as well as engages in dance education, organizes public performances in the city, and cooperates with various communities. Three performances of Sheik's Dance Theater were awarded the main national professional theater art award - "Golden Stage Cross" (2012, 2017 and 2018), and Agnija Sheiko was the first dance creator to be honored with the Boris Dauguvietis Earring (2016). The Sheik Dance Theater has already presented its performances on such stages as the J.F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, the Shanghai International Dance Center, the Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance and Theater in Tel Aviv, Dock 11 in Berlin. In total, the Sheik Dance Theater has already visited international festivals and stages in more than a dozen countries: USA, Iceland, Italy, Israel, China, Latvia, France, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Malta, Estonia and in Belgium.
