"TECHNO FAUNA" looks at the human the future of existence, its transformation and adaptation. The performance explores the limits of the body, its archeology and the possibility of exchange with the environment. The three figures on the stage delve into their relationship: polished tactics and power games prevail in an abstract post-apocalyptic time. Desperately looking for a connection? Are we facing a utopian or dystopian future? TECHNO FAUNA creates a picture of the "new" man. Technological extensions make us powerful, but “do we really need that?” After all, our everyday biology is an astonishing technological invention. And how beautiful is our existence when we can return to it! The Lower Saxony Foundation has nominated the performance as one of the most outstanding of 2022. of independent theater works in Lower Saxony and presented at the BestOFF festival.

Portugal-born Liliana Barros is an independent dancer and choreographer living in Germany. Her choreographic works are described as a strong and intense stage atmosphere. Her highly visual creations are characterized by a unique aesthetic and a unique language of movement. Internality and archaism are combined with elegant plasticity and the use of technical elements in a somewhat deconstructed form. Liliana has created several choreographies for dance companies such as National Theater Mannheim, Ballet des Saarländisches Staatstheaters, Gauthier Dance Company, MiR Dance Company, Netherlands Dance Theater, TanzKassel, etc. Liliana also collaborated with opera productions several times. Her most recent work is the performance "ARCHIUM", staged at the Staatsballett Hannover (2024).
