TARQUINIO MERULA - THE GREAT MASTER OF THE VASE COURT
October 16 "Canto Fiorito" will fill the spaces of Marijampolė's Beatričė Kleizaitė-Vasaris art gallery with baroque music from the Vazų mansion. The program presented by the international ensemble, led by flute and cornet player Rodrigo Calveyra, will include arias and madrigals for one voice and instrumental canzones for two voices, especially the audience's favorite compositions by Tarquinio Merula, the great music master of the Vase Court. The works of two of his colleagues from the Vasi estate, Francesco Anerio and Diomedes Cato, are also presented.
