Fifteen colorful years of the festival have passed in Preila. Overnights, rehearsals, disputes about programs, rest between concerts and a unique time of friendship and creativity.

The history-filled library of Preila, close to the eternal lagoon, will play French chamber music that stops time and gives meaning to colors and signs, which many years ago adorned the programs of previous festivals.

Olivier Messiaen was captured by the Germans at the beginning of World War II. One of the most important masterpieces of chamber music of the 20th century was born in the POW camp, which speaks of the invincible power of human creativity and spirit in the most difficult situations. The "End of Time Quartet" was created and first performed in the Gorlitz POW camp on January 15, 1941 by the composer and three prisoners (Jean le Boulaire, violin; Henri Akoka, clarinet; Etienne Pasquier, cello).
